Rs. 5 Coin (1995) commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Food and Agriculture Organization
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations is an international organization that leads international efforts to defeat hunger and improve nutrition and food security. Its Latin motto, fiat panis, translates to "let there be bread." It was founded on 16 October 1945. Consequently, the 16th of October of each year is celebrated as 'World Food Day'.
The 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Food and Agriculture Organization was celebrated in 1995, in commemoration of which, the Government of India issued this Rs. 5 Coin.
This one is a Bombay mint, evident from the 'diamond' motif below the year.
